Vladimir Vučković participated in the second annual conference of the OPEN Cost Action at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen
From April 28 to May 1, 2025, Vladimir Vučković took part in the second annual conference of the EU COST Project OPEN—“Rising Nationalisms, Shifting Geopolitics, and the Future of European Higher Education/Research Openness”—hosted by the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
The event also featured the Early Career Scholars Colloquium and a meeting of the project’s management committee. It marked an important milestone for the OPEN initiative in tackling the growing challenges to openness in European higher education and research, amid rising nationalism and shifting global dynamics especially after the Russo-Ukrainian war.
Bringing together leading scholars from 40 countries, the conference fostered rich, interdisciplinary discussions on the evolving role of universities in a time of geopolitical uncertainty.
