Pavlína Kutnarová on how Estonia rejected the "small state" narrative
Our department's PhD student, Pavlína Kutnarová, has published a text titled "Estonia in times of Russian aggression: rethinking smallness" in the prestigious journal Journal of Contemporary European Studies, published by the Taylor & Francis publishing house
The text deals with Estonia's reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and, through an analysis of narratives, identifies how the Baltic country, despite expectations, refused to follow typical patterns of behavior of a small state in foreign policy.
