Ocelík at the ECPR and EUSN Conferences

2 Oct 2019

Petr Ocelík took part at the European Consortium for Political Research General Conference in Wroclaw, Poland, where co-organized program section on Political Networks and presented a work in progress from the Comparing Climate Change Policy Networks project.

Petr presented research examining drivers of collaboration within the Czech climate policy. The preliminary findings indicate strong ideological segmentation and spill-over of the prevailing collaboration patterns from energy policy.

Petr participated also in the European Conference on Social Networks in Zürich, Switzerland. He presented research on media coverage of climate change in the Czech Republic after the Copenhagen Conference. The preliminary findings show the presence of climate denialism and use of low-profile strategy by energy incumbents, i.e. the actors responsible for most of CO2 emissions.
