New study by Vladimír Černý and Miroslav Mareš in the prestigious journal War & Society
Vladimír Černý and Miroslav Mareš published a study entitled "Biowarfare against the Nazis: the ethics, efficacy and consequences of a forgotten operation by the Czech resistance in the Second World War" in the prestigious journal War & Society published by Taylor & Francis. The authors discuss the little-known case of experiments with biological weapons carried out by the anti-Nazi resistance organisation "Obrana národa v Protektorátu Čechy a Morava" (Defence of the Nation in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia) in 1939-1940. Using a large body of archival material, they analyze this case in terms of motivations, related ethical issues, strategy and tactics.
