Kate Davenport OBE at KMVES
Last week, our department hosted Kate Davenport OBE , the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Prague. On 10th October 2023, Kate delivered a guest lecture for our 'Brexit: Politics, Policies, and Processes' course, led by Monika Brusenbauch Meislová. The session was characterized by lively interactions, with students posing insightful questions that fostered robust discussion. In addition to her lecture, Kate also commemorated the International Day of the Girl on 11th October 2023 by leading an informal discussion on the role of women in diplomacy, over coffee and tea. This conversation offered our female students a unique opportunity to understand the nuances and challenges faced by women in the field of diplomacy. We extend our gratitude to Kate for sharing her expertise and experiences, enriching our academic environment.
