Jirušek on Visegrad and Energy Cooperation in the Region
Martin Jirušek published an article titled "The attitude of the Visegrad Group Countries towards Russian Infrastructural Projects in the gas sector" in the Energy Policy journal. The text analyzes the actual state of cooperation within the Visegrad Group in the energy sector.
The author comes to the conclusion that, despite the declared unity, individual attitudes of the group members differ, based on their individual interests. These differences are demonstrated in the case of new Russian pipelines Nord Stream 2 and TurkStream. The author essentially confirms that the energy policies of the group members are indeed driven by their internal needs and motivations.
