Brusenbauch Meislová on Theresa May´s Discourse Regarding Brexit
Monika Brusenbauch Meislová has published an article on Theresa May’s discursive treatment of Brexit in The Political Quarterly — a British impact factor journal.
In her article, Monika explores Theresa May's post‐referendum communicative behaviour on Brexit—the very issue that came to define her premiership agenda—and uncovers what legacy it has left behind. The article argues that there are at least seven ways, closely interrelated and feeding into each other, in which her discursive construction of Brexit has left a somewhat bitter legacy, contributing to the Brexit political paralysis and inspiring substantial levels of confusion and exasperation, both within the UK and abroad.
The article is now on early view and free to view for a month. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/1467-923X.12767
