Vladimir Vučković participated in the inaugural annual conference at the University of Aveiro in Portugal from April 16th to 19th, 2024, as part of the EU COST Project "Rising nationalisms, shifting geopolitics and the future of European higher education/research openness (OPEN)." This conference, along with the First Early Career Scholars Colloquium and the second management committee meeting, marks a significant achievement for the OPEN Action in addressing the challenges related to the openness of European higher education and research amidst increasing nationalistic and geopolitical influences. The event brought together prominent scholars from 40 countries, signifying a collective effort to integrate diverse pan-European and interdisciplinary perspectives on the role of universities in times of geopolitical uncertainty.
