Monika Brusenbauch Meislová at the 2025 Political Studies Association conference
Monika Brusenbauch Meislová participated in the 2025 Political Studies Association (PSA) Annual Conference, held from 14–16 April in Birmingham.
Convened under the theme “What Next?” and jointly hosted by the University of Birmingham and Aston University, the conference brought together over 800 scholars from various fields of political studies and international relations.
Monika presented her research at two panels and spoke at a roundtable on the state of democracy in Central and Eastern Europe. Her presentations examined the use of fear-based narratives in political communication, focusing on both the European Parliament’s digital discourse and the messaging of new Europeanist actors in the UK.
