Petr Marek on changing local identity in Moravia and eastern Bohemia
Petr Marek published a new article titled Svitavy and Moravská Třebová in East Bohemia? The article discusses the affiliation of Svitavy and Moravská Třebová to the Czech Lands. These historically Moravian towns became part of the East Bohemian Region, often called East Bohemia, in 1960. The paper demonstrates the different perceptions of space depending on distance and among various people and presents selected activities of Moravian regionalists striving to reproduce Moravia within its historical borders.
