Our department at the UACES conference in Lille
On September 5-7, 2022, two members of our department, Petra Kuchyňková and Monika Brusenbauch Meislová, took part in a conference organized by the British Academic Association for Contemporary European Studies in Lille, France.
Petra spoke at the conference with two contributions: "Blame as a phenomenon in discursive strategies: the case of political discourse about the migration crisis at Poland-Belarus border in 2021" and "Comprehensive Approach of the European Union Towards Crisis Management in the Eastern Neighbourhood: discourse vs. reality."
Monika was at the conference in the role of chairperson and discussant of the panels "Explaining and Negotiating Brexit" and "Emergency EUrope: Risks, Challenges and Future Prospects for European Integration" and also together with Andrew Glencross presented a paper entitled "UK's Bilateralism with EU27 in the Post-Brexit Era: Stock-Taking of Emerging Patterns and Trends”.
