Last week, two FSS MUNI students participated in the simulation of EU bodies' negotiations as part of the Czech delegation
Last week, our students from the Faculty of Social Studies at MUNI took part in an international simulation of the negotiations of the European Union bodies held in Brussels. This prestigious event, called ConSIMIum , is a project organized by the Council of the EU, designed for university students, which allows them to become acquainted with the real procedures and functioning of European institutions. The selection of students is carried out by the Czech Conference of Rectors in collaboration with the Student Chamber of the Council of Higher Education.
Two of our students were chosen to join the Czech delegation – Jana Staňková in the role of a journalist and Zuzana Mikulová as a national expert on critical raw materials.
During their stay in Brussels, they had the opportunity to attend a training session organized by the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, which helped them better understand the topics of the simulation – defense and critical raw materials. The diplomats from the Czech representation were very pleased with the students’ activity. In addition, during the second day of the event, a series of short videos was recorded, which will subsequently be published on the social media channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Participation in the ConSIMIum simulation represents an exceptional opportunity to gain practical experience in European politics, develop communication and analytical skills, and build valuable international contacts. We look forward to further successful events and the active involvement of our students in international projects!
