Tomáš Cirhan gave an interview to the Hungarian media outlet Gemišt, in which he assesses the first three months of the ANO, SPD, and Motorists for Themselves coalition government and discusses possible illiberal tendencies in Czech politics.
In the interview, he highlights, among other things, a controversial bill targeting non-profit organizations with foreign ties and the growing pressure on public media, for example through debates on the abolition of license fees. He also mentions symbolic signs of these changes, including the departures of prominent figures from Czech Television.
Another part of the discussion focuses on the development of relations with Slovakia and the priorities of the new budget, in which, according to the interview, social spending and support for selected sectors play a significant role.
