The Social Network Analysis in R workshop, organized within the Horizon Europe CENTREPEACE project, took place at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, from 22 to 26 June 2026. The five-day intensive course brought together 12 early career researchers from Masaryk University and the University of Helsinki, together with Siri Aas Rustad, Research Director at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO).

Starting with basic concepts and data handling, the course progressed to network visualization, centrality and community detection, research design, and inferential methods, including QAP and Exponential Random Graph Models (ERGMs). The final day was devoted to participants' own research projects, allowing them to discuss their datasets and receive feedback from instructors and peers.

The workshop was taught by Tomáš Diviák (University of Manchester), Lukáš Lehotský (Masaryk University), Tomáš Lintner (Masaryk University & University of Manchester), and Petr Ocelík (Masaryk University), combining methodological expertise with applications from various social science disciplines.
