Petr Marek lectured at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw
Petr Marek spent the last week of June at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Through two lectures – “The Bohemian-Moravian boundary as a phantom border persisting in the minds of people” and “The Bohemian-Moravian boundary as a relict border persisting in the cultural landscape” – he presented the results of his research and subsequently discussed with Polish colleagues common topics and possible future cooperation. As part of the CEEPUS Freemover mobility, a joint field trip with Dr. Michał Konopski (with whom Petr Marek was officially an intern) took place, among others, to the tripoint boundary stone on the historical border of Poland, Lithuania and Prussia.
