2 Mar 2026

Monika Brusenbauch Meislová recently participated in a series of high-level academic and policy discussions in London, contributing her expertise to debates on UK–EU and UK–German relations.

Her visit began with a roundtable at the House of Commons, where she engaged in discussions with members of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Germany. The session was chaired by Sir Mark Hendrick and focused on contemporary developments in UK–German relations.

The following day, Monika took part in a roundtable at the House of Lords, dedicated to the evolving UK–EU relationship. The discussion was chaired by Baroness Julie Smith of the University of Cambridge, bringing together leading scholars and practitioners.

Her programme continued at King's College London, which hosted two well-attended roundtables on UK–EU and UK–German relations. The sessions were chaired by Professor Anand Menon and Jannike Wachowiak, and provided a dynamic forum for exchange between academics and policy experts.

The visit was made possible thanks to the generous invitation of Aston University’s Centre for Europe and UK in a Changing Europe.
