Štěpán Pech as part of the European Seminar Series gave students a practical crash course in EU recruitment procedures
During the very first week of the new semester, on 19 February 2026, we were delighted to welcome Štěpán Pech, Director of the EU Institutional and Legal Support Department at the Czech Government Office, for an engaging session titled “Landing your EU dream job: career hacks you need to know.”
As part of our European Seminar Series, the talk attracted a strong turnout of students keen to hear directly about pathways into EU institutions.
Štěpán offered a rich mix of practical guidance and candid reflections on the recruitment journey, from traineeships through to long-term positions. Thank you to everyone who attended, and especially to Štěpán for sharing his expertise with such openness, clarity, and good humour.
