Monika Brusenbauch Meislová at the Winter School of Contemporary European Politics: Stranger Things of Digital Diplomacy
On 22 January 2026, Monika Brusenbauch Meislová delivered a guest lecture to high school students participating in the Winter School of Contemporary European Politics, an annual event organised by the department's European Studies programme.
In her talk, titled “Stranger Things of Digital Diplomacy: How Social Media Is Changing European Politics,” she introduced students to the rapidly evolving landscape of digital diplomacy and the ways in which political actors use social media to conduct public diplomacy. Drawing on current examples from European politics, she highlighted both the opportunities and the risks associated with the digitalisation of international diplomacy.
