The fifth international summer school on energy security is open for applications. The summer school titled The Energy Policy of the EU and its Position in Global Energy Environment will be held on August 13 - 21 in the Masaryk University Centre in the UNESCO listed city of Telc.
The summer school will host prominent energy security experts from the Czech republic and abroad (e.g. James Hnederson from the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, Michael Kranhold from 50Hertz, Václav Bartuška from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc.) and is further supplemented by rich extracurricular program. Students will have a chance to take part in field trips to the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant and Vranov nad Dyji Hydropower Plant combined with a trip on electric bikes and presentation of electric cars.
The deadline for applications is May 31. Applications can be submitted through the summer school website.
