Zuzana Ringlerová published an article titled "Generations and Stability of Support for the EU: An Analysis of Six-Wave Panel Data from The Netherlands" in the International Journal of Public Opinion research Journal.
The paper looks at over-time stability of public support for the EU. Do older citizens have equally stable support for the EU as younger citizens? Or do younger citizens have more stable support for the EU than older citizens thanks to the fact that they grew up in a more deeply integrated European Union and had the opportunity to internalize their support for the EU in early childhood? The paper shows that all generations have equally stable support for the EU and that even those citizens who grew up during the early days of European integration have fairly stable support for the EU.
