Department members are getting ready for the ECPR´s annual konference in Oslo
Several department members will také part in the annualconference of the European Consortium for Political Research that will be held in Oslo this September.
Vít Hloušek will present his papers Power of President in a Semi-Presidential Democracies as and Conceptual Puzzle a Brexit: Chance or Challenge for the Central European Euroscepticism? (co-authored by Petr Kaniok).
Hubert Smekal will be chairing a panel Courts and Separation of Powers and presenting papers International Human Rights Case Law in Domestic High Politics and Understanding Adoption of International Human Rights Treaties: Political Regimes and Commitment Patterns (both co-authored by Katarína Šipulová and Jozef Janovský)
Filip Černoch will assume the role of discussant in the panel The Politics of Nuclear Energy in Europe and Beyond and will present a paper The strategic energy culture behind the roots of the Czech Republic’s pro-nuclear energy policy.
Lukáš Lehotský will present a paper titled Czech News Media Coverage of Climate Change: A Semantic Network Analysis.
Petr Ocelík is a co-organizer of a section titled Political Networks and will be chairing a panel Climate Change Policy Networks.
