On the invitation of Japan Consortium for Arctic Research (JCAR), Barbora Padrtová participated at the Fifth International Symposium on Arctic Research (ISAR-5) “The changing Arctic and its regional to global impact: From information to knowledge and action” which took place on January 15-18, 2018 in Tokyo, JAPAN.
Barbora spoke about the importance of security as a key prerequisite for stability in the Arctic. The symposium was opened and attended by the HIH Princess of Japan Hanako of Hitachi. As a Czech Delegate before the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) Barbora Padrtová also participated at the closed meeting of the IASC Social&Human Working Group.
