He finished his Master’s degree in International Relations (2005) and Political Science (2007) at Faculty of Social Studies MU. In June 2010 he finished his Doctoral degree in International Relations at the Department of International Relations and European Studies at Faculty of Social Studies MU where he currently works as an assistant professor.
In his research he focuses on the development of foreign and security policy of the US and France, further on the issue of nuclear weapons and arms control, millitary alliance and the development of security situation in Eastern Asia. He is the editor of collective work Proliferace jaderných zbraní: problémoví aktéři (together with Ondřej Rojčík) and the author or co-author of several research articles published in reviewed journals (Mezinárodní vztahy, Středoevropské politické studie či Obrana a strategie) and chapters in scientific collective works. Morever, he published a number of articles having a rather journalistic or popularizing character (magazines CEVRO Revue, Kontexty, Mezinárodní politika, Revue Politika).
Within the Operation Programme for Education and Competitiveness he participates in lecturing in English language at the Department of International Relations and European Studies.
